The first bii; bathing day of the season sea-son will be inaugurated at Saltair today and merrymakers are expected to go the "zip-bang" route to a jolly good time. Hundreds of new bathing suids, modish mod-ish and comfortable, and all colors of the rainbow, have been .purchased for bathing at the lake this summer. They will bo presented to Salt Lake's carnival carni-val set today. The lake water is ideal for ocean bathers, the temperature being moderate. mod-erate. Kor the "thin-skinned'' bathers, the indoor pool will prove an atractive place. The indoor pool is fitted up with the latest conveniences and is pumped full of fresh hike water, heated to a comfortable degree. Tomorrow- the Utah Camera elub will give its outing to the immediate islands surrounding tiie resort. The "Sea Gull" has been chartered for the occasion, and more than seventy excursionists will participate in the affair. Wednesday will be Patriotic day at Saltair and Sweeten 's orchestra will give free tickets to every little bov and girl under 12 years of age who leaves for the resort on the first three afternoon after-noon trains, 2, 2:45 aud 3:30 o'clock. The youngsters will be invited to sing the national American songs ami will be Sfiven a big dance in the pavilion during dur-ing the afternoon. |
