OCR Text	Show ASK FOR FRANCHISE FOR BRANCH ROAD Application was made yesterday to tho board of county commissioners by the Salt Lake & I'tali railroad for a franchise to permit of the construction of a branch line of tho company's road from Grander-, to Magna. The question was referred to the county surveyor and county attorney for investigation as to details. Subsequent to their report re-port a time will be fixed when the applicants ap-plicants and any protestants that may be will be heard. The application rovers rov-ers some additional trackage desired by the railroad to cover some of the smaller settlements in the vicinity of Magna.
