Christmas greetings from Secretary of t ho Navy Josephus Daniels to the officers and men of the United States and allied navies, flashed from the Arlington station, near Washington, at midnight Christmas eve, was recei ved here by the high power radio station at Choi las Heights. The Chollas Heights station immediately relayed the message to the government plant at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, which in turn sent, it to the government station at Manila. The Manila wireless then flashed the greetings to the American I warships scattered along the China and Japanese coasts. I At the same time Pearl Harbor was re-I re-I laying the secretary's greetings, 5000 miles ! across the Pacific to the Philippines, the j Point Loma station was broadcasting the I messa ge to all ships and short stations from Panama to Siika, Alaska. The message mes-sage was acknowledge and relayed here over a distance of more than 11'. 000 miles In a little less than fifteen minutes.
