lKoiii High-grade Body of Zinc Ore Opened in Good-springs Good-springs District. What is consiflered in the Good-springs, Good-springs, Nov., district as an important impor-tant strike has beon made on the I u-gomar u-gomar property, operated by S. S. Arontz of Salt Lake, who has just returned re-turned from the property. Mr. Arentz has been giving the property his personal per-sonal supervision recently. He has been operating the property since April lat. High-grade zinc ore uud high-grade lead ore are being shipped. The strike was made by driving a tunnel on a fracture plane and ore whs mined in bunches from the beginning. be-ginning. When in about twenty feet tiie ore shoot was encountered with lead-zinc ore, both products being comparatively com-paratively (dean. The shoot as cut at a depth of about fifty feet from the surface aud it has been drifted on for sixty feet. In widening the drift, preparatory pre-paratory to stoping, five cars of ore have been taken out. Three cars of the high-grade zinc have been shipped, and the first one settled for yesterday ran 44.19 per cent zinc. Two cars of lead ore have aiso been shipped, running run-ning (35 per cent in lead. Sixty teet below the first tunnel another an-other tunnel has been driven on the same fracture in tlie limestone, which fra'-ture is across the boil dings and which is standing almost vertical. At a point almost under the stope in the upper tunnel two feet of high-grade ore has been cut which is apparently the downward extension of the ore shoot. There will be shipped this month in addition .to the two cars of lead ore broken, two cars of high-grade .zinc ore. The ore is dropped through an eleven-inch eleven-inch pipe from the cliffs where it is mined to the hillside below, is loaded on burros and packed 1200 feet', and is then loaded in wagons and hauled sixteen miles to the shipping point at Roche, New At the Lake view property, of which Mi. Areutz also is manager, located in the Promontory district in this state, a small crew of miners is employed on ore. During August .there was shipped five carolads of zinc ore The Complex tunnel was advanced 50 feet. The company is gradually turning over to lessees all ground above the No, 1 level. Tt is the intention of the management man-agement to carry on in the near future, all development work below the present pres-ent lowest level and lease tho workings work-ings above.
