Show WOMEN HEAR OF BEAUTIFYING CITY Mrs. A. H. Parsons Addresses Ad-dresses Meeting of Business Busi-ness Women. Parsons before the members of the Business Woman 's club in a most instructive and entertaining paper. Mrs. Parsons, following a description of some of the more noted cities which have embraced em-braced the opportunity to improve their appearance, as well as their business affairs, af-fairs, spoke of the needs locally ulotijz the same lines, and advocated tlie beautifying beau-tifying of tlie low-lying land? alon the banks of the one "river the Jordan and making a riverside drive a part of the great Wasatch boulevard. .She told of the school gardens which are flourishing flourish-ing under the care of the school children chil-dren and the women of the City Federation Federa-tion of Women's Cluhs. Preceding' the formal part of the programme, pro-gramme, Miss Doris Stevens, chairman of the organizing committee of the Woman 's Congressional union, who was a guest of the club, spoke briefly on the purposes of the union. She explained the reasons for sending corps of work- ! ers into the ''free' states to ask the I help of the enfranchised women in se- j curing the passage of the amendment I favoring suffrage.
