Show BRITISH SOCIETIES HAVE LAGOON OUTING Between 2000 and 3000 members of the British societies of Salt Lake and Ogden held their first annual outing at Lagoon yesterday afternoon and evening. The afternoon was devoted to a programme of sports, the soccer game between the Caledonians and the Kureka team being the feature. The Caledonians won two goals and three corners to the two goals made by the Eureka team. John James was the principal speaker on the evening programme and represented represent-ed Governor William Spry, who p-as unable un-able 'to be present. Other speakers were George M. Bryson and Judge .J. D. Murphy Mur-phy of Ogden. Following the speeches an elaborate programme of music and tabloids was presented by the members of the societies. |
