Show MANY AT SERVICE FOR AGED SISTER Tribute was paid to the memory of Sister Magdalen yesterda v in services held at the chapel of Holy Cross hospital. hos-pital. Sister Magdalen was one of the best known sisters in Salt Lake and her death Sat urday came as a severe blow to those who were intimately acquainted with her. v Rerjuiem mass was celebrated at 9 o'clock, the congregation of mourners grieving the loss of the aged sister. Bishop Joseph S. Class preached the sermon, pointing out some the traits of character which made the departed sister a favorite wherever she went, and also telling of her life's history and the manner man-ner In which she, as a little Immigrant to this country from Ireland, had determined deter-mined to devote her life to the work of religiorj. Occupying the sanctuary were Fathers Flynn, O'Brien. Cushanari and Sheehan. Father Anzalona officiated at the requiem mass. Pallbearers were chosen from the Knights of Columbus. Interment was in Calvary cemetery. |
