Myers of Salt Lake, now studving at Vineland, J-, will return re-turn home August 10 to begin a survey sur-vey of the feeble-minded adults and children of Utah, to report to a national na-tional commission interested in their welfare. , . it Miss Myers has been studying the condition "of the feeble-minded in the eastern states and particularly at the training school for the feeble-minded at Yine'and. There she met little "Sunny" Douglas, Doug-las, the crippled and mentally deficient child who earned a dollar making beds and celebrated it bv sending the money to a follow sufferer known as "Sunny Jim" at Atlantic City. ; '"It is such things as this that make our work encouraging," writes Miss Myers. "How much that feeble-minded' bov has done for the world. Surely they have their place in the great scheme of tilings." |
