Show JUDICIAL DELEGATES CHOSENJ WEBER Spirited Contests Mark Republican Re-publican Primaries; Convention Con-vention Wednesday. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, July 17. Spirited contests in virtually every district of the city in an effort to gain control of delegations delega-tions marked the Republican primaries held throughout Weber county tonight to name seventy-three delegates to the Second district judicial convention in this city next "Wednesday. In many instances the attendance in city districts was the largest ever known in the district, dis-trict, regardless of the occasion. "While the desire to obtain favorable delegates centered on the nomination of two judges, the contest among candidates candi-dates for district attorney was almost as spirited. Morgan county Republicans held their convention last Saturday night, selecting se-lecting eight delegates, and district primaries pri-maries were held throughout Davis county coun-ty tonight. In the race for the nomination for judges the incumbents, J udges J. A. Howell and N. J. Harris, are candidates for re-nomination. W. H. Reeder, Jr., is the third candidate. All three had workers in the field tonight and the Ogden citv delegates are said to be quite evenly divided, with Judge Howell having a shade the better of either of the others. Five candidates are in the race for district attorney. They are John 0. Davis, incumbent; Davitl Jensen, A. (x. Horn and C. R. HollingBworth, all of this city, and Ezra Robinson, county attorney at-torney for Davis county. It was gossip gos-sip among the political leaders tonight that Robinson would receive the solid support of both the Davis and Morgan county delegations, numbering thirty-one, thirty-one, of the total of 105" delegates to the convention. Horn is accorded a majority ma-jority of the Ogden city -delegates, with Jensen receiving his principal support from the country districts of the county. coun-ty.
