Show D. & R. G. SHOPMEN TO HAVE ATHLETIC GAMES Yesterday afternoon, in the Denver & Rio Grande shops. E. G. Caster, general secretary of the local Y. M. C. A., met with about 1 0 0 men for the purpose of discussing the promotion of a number of aiV.etic events during the remainder of the summer. n moron of Mr. Curtis, Mr. (.raster wa? el"'te-" chairman and M. E. James secrf-tary of the meeting. Mr. Caster said that a preliminary meeting of several of the shop o'fl-cials o'fl-cials had been held earlier in the month to discuss the advisability of such a move. The matter had been discussed thoroughly, but it was thought best before be-fore taking further action to call this n e0ting in ordr to select a special committee, com-mittee, whose fluty it wou'd be to complete com-plete thfi a Tankmen's und carry out the programme after the formation of it. The following wrc elected to serve as a committee: Joe Harris, chairman: I.. E. Kc-nnedv, George Tucker. W. H. Ktnsler and George Eathetn. The members of this commitee will meet at the office of the Y. M. C. A. on Thursday Thurs-day evening at S o'cloclk to form a . schedule. |
