Show ENUMERATORS GIVEN FINAL INSTRUCTIONS School census enumeraiors yesterday received re-ceived their supplies and will be?in work Monday morning. In the board of education educa-tion rooms the enumerators were given instructions as to the details of securing the census, and were particularly urged to secure a complete enumeration of all children of school age. Dr. Ernest A. Smith, superintendent of schools, and L. P. Judd, clerk of the board of education, outline.! the duties of the enumerators. Particular stress is aiven by the school authorities on the hesitancy of some to give ail children of school age under the apprehension that it means a taxable cost aeainst them. On the contrary there is no increased taxation, but the crreater number of children brtnrs an increased apportionment out of The stare funds to the city school districts. This fact will be emphasized in the taking of the census. |
