Show READY FOR SCHOOL AT IU FORK Teachers' Institute Closes ; All Buildings Cleaned and Repaired. Special to The Tribune. AMERICAN TORK. Sept. 10. The teachers' institute of the Alpine school district, which has been held here for the past three davs. came to a close to day. Practically every teacher in the district was present. State Instructor E. G. Gowans said that it was one of the best conventions he had ever attended, at-tended, and presages a moat successful school 3-ear. Two and three sessions were held each day. Dr. Gowans was preseut Wednesday : and gave nvo talks to the teachers. He impressed upon their minds the tfreat responsibility they each held in relation rela-tion to giving the children proper instruction, in-struction, and that they held the future destinies of the young: generation in their hands. Professor George ft. Brimhall of the B. Y. U. was present one day and gave an inspiring talk, as did also G. N. Child, superintendent of the Salt Lake Sty grammar schools. Much departmental depart-mental work and papers by local educators edu-cators were features of all three days. The schools of this city will start next Monday, and today and tomorrow are registering days for the high school and eighth grade students. The children chil-dren will all have clean places to start their school year's -work, as all the buildings have been cleaned up, painted and repaired.
