Show ORDERS EXTRADITION OF SPY TO ENGLAND Former Member of the British Parliament Parlia-ment to Stand Trial for Alleged Forgery. NEW YORK, Sept. 10. Ignatius T. T. Lincoln, a former member of the British parliament, who recently admitted ad-mitted he had been a German spy, was today ordered by Federal Judge Veedet in Brooklyn to be extradited to England to stand trial on a charge of forgery. Lincoln's attorneys contested the extradition ex-tradition proceedings, charging their client would be tried as a spy if he were returned to Mngland. Lincoln was charged with three forgeries for-geries in the papers filed here bv the British consul. One alleged he forged a note whereby Benjamin S. Rowntrec of England purported to guarantee the payment of 750 to John Goldstein. Lincoln arrived 'in New York from Liverpool on February 9 last. Early in May he wrote two articles, published in a newspaper, in which he purported to tell of the workings of the British war office. A short time later he announced an-nounced he would publish a book entitled en-titled "Revelations of an International Spy.?' lli arrest on the forgerv charge followed the announcement within a few-days. |
