Show BLOSSOM GETS MEDAL IN OPENING ROUND GREKNWVICH. Conn., Sept. 10. F. R Blossom of Tale won the medal In the qualify in; round for the intercollegiate individual singles golf championship over the links of the Greenwich Country club here today, with a score of 153. He had rounds of 78 and 75. The total was one stroke better than that of Louis L. Bre-din Bre-din of Yale and John M. Simpson of Illinois. D. Clarke Corkran of Baltimore led the field at the end of the first sixteen holes with 76, but in the afternoon he took St. Dudley H. Mudge of Yale required 84 strokes in the forenoon, so that his 75 III the afternoon was unavailing. Four were tied for the last three places in the championship division. They were TjawTence H. Can an of Harvard, W. A. Lowrie of Princeton, John Marshall. Jr., of Williams and H. H. White of Illinois. White was left, out on the play-off. |
