SAX FRANCISCO, Sept. 19 Before beginning his sermon today in the Civic auditorium, where were gathered every Methodist Episcopal congregation in San Francisco and all the delegates to the California annual conference of the Methodist Fpiscoial church, Bishop Edwin Ed-win H. Hughes of this city asked all present to now their heads in a silent prayer for the president of the United States.
