Show GUN CLUBS SEEKING ROAD IMPROVEMENT County CommissionerB Asked to Repair Highways and Build Roads in Northwest. Petitions for road improvements in the northwestern part of the county were made to the county commission yesterday by representatives of six gun clubs in that vicinity and the Utah ?alt company. They declared that the roads west of the Jordan river, particularly the old Highland High-land road and the Saltalr speedway, are In such a dilapidated and unrepaired condition condi-tion that travel over them is next to Impossible. The commissioners agreed to Inspect the roads today, anompanled by members of the petitioning body. Those who appeared hefore the com -missionera were Henrv M. Dinwoodev, F. H. Rudy, R. K. Hardy and William J. Halloran. representing the Rudy Gun club, the Halloran Gun club, the Central Gun club, the Century Gun club, the Utah Gun club and the Black Slough Gun club. They reported an utter la.-k of bridges over irrigation canals, sloughs and ditches, and sections of the road are veritable quagmires. |
