Show PLANS COMPLETED FOR POLICE BALL March 24 Is Pixed as Date for City Guardians to Worship Terpsichore. ' A big ring ha? been drawn around the date of Wednesday. March 24, on the official of-ficial calendar at "police headquarter.', and the rank and file of men who guard life and property in Salt Lake City during the other 361 days of the year understand that this will be their "night off." It was ail settled yesterday afternoon when the Police Mutual A Id association entertainment committee had adjourned its meeting. Captain J. J. Roberts, a chairman, presided, and the taik ran largely to subjects entirely foreiKii to that of chasing criminals. Such familiar words as "Texas Tommy, "maxixe." "turkey trot," "tango" and "dip" came filtering through the transom, and above the din the voice of Captain Roberts culd be heard shouting the praises of Lite Virginia reel. When the committee had emerged from the locked room Captain Roberts announced an-nounced that the above date for the policemen's po-licemen's annual ball had been decided upon.
