Show MRS. CURTIS ARRESTED. Speoial to The Tribune. OGDEJN, Feb. 17. Mrs. (Ruclla P. Cur-Ub, Cur-Ub, arrested several days ago, charged with contempt nnd released last Saturday Satur-day on her own recognizance, and who wrs thought to have left the city, was rearrested by Deputy Sheriff Walter Rlchey today, Mrs. Curtis failed to appear ap-pear beforu Judge N. J. Harris yesterday yester-day on tho charge against her. It was thought by tho officials when she was not seen yesterdav that she had fled the city. It was understood that the woman had a ticket for Topeka, IO.ni., and that sho would tako advantage of the opportunity to use It. Instead, she remained In the city for apparently no other reason than iu renew nur eiions io oovaiu possession of the two children recently taken from hor by the court's order. When she was discovered today there was no other alternative than to serve, the bench warrant Issued bv Judge Harris Har-ris yesterday. Mrs. Curtis Is now locked In tho county j.al and will bc required to answer In Judge Harris's court to the original chargo of contempt for kidnaping kid-naping the children while they were at the Crittenden home pending the outcome of habeas corpus proceedings two weeks ago. |
