Show MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR MISS WILLARD CHICAGO, Feb. 17. Memorial services were held here today for Frances K. Willard, temperance worker and for years the head of the Woman s Christian Tem-poranco Tem-poranco union. Willard hall, named for thc temperance leader, wns filled with wearers of the white ribbon, tho badge adopted years ago by the followers of Miss Willard. "In the banishment of the saloon," said the Hev. IS. L. Williams, speaker of the day, "which will surely come In a generation, Miss Wlllard's work will bo completed." Thc services marked the sixteenth anniversary an-niversary of the death of Miss Willard, and the flowers which decked the hall were afterward laid on her grave In Rose III1I cemetery. |
