Show ! JOHN A, SMITH DEAD. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Feb. 17. John A. Smith, aged 'G6 vcars, a resident of Ogden for the past lifty years, died a't his home. 2221? Lincoln "avenue, at 5 o'clock this morning, morn-ing, death bcinc due to locomotor ataxia. He had been ill for the past three months. For manv years and up to tho lime of his death Mr. Smith was proprietor of Hie union depot barber shop. Born In Torre Haute, Ind., Fobruary 2, 1S46. Mr. Smith came to Utah in the earlv sixties. The remainder of his life was' spent in Ogden. He is survived by the widow, one daughter. Mrs. Carrie Madson. and one grandson, Jack Madson. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the civil war and a member of Dlx-Logan post, G. A. R., the members of which organization or-ganization will attend the funeral in a body. The runcral arrangements have not been completed. |
