Show MAPS OF PROPOSED RAILWAY NOT FILED No Definite Action Looking to Eights of Way Taken at National Capital. Special to The Tribune. WASHINGTON, D. C, .Feb. 17. On KViiiru.n.f r i'm. -in.. r t..-.,'..i.n f Chicago, and Rolla Olapp, of Utah, made inquiries at the interior department concerning the procedure to be followed in obtaining rights of way for a proposed pro-posed railroad which, they snid, would be constructed from Grand .Junction, Colo., to San Diego, Cal,, and would pass through the states of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and California, with a mileage of about 1000 miles, but, a distance in a direct line of 5 -10 miles. The proposed- projectors of tlie line said that surveys had been in progress for tho past eight years and that tho surveys and maps had noon completed. They were advised that in order to secure rights of way. maps covering each twenty-mile section should bo filfd with tho application and thev promised to have such maps made and filed.
