The warden said: "Two weeks ago we took from the cell of Julius Sir may two flat, strips of metal, that had been used by that prisoner pris-oner in working on an invention irom which ho hoped to ovolvc tho principle of perpetual motion. The presonce of the two strips of metal were known to tho prison and were taken from him merely as an added precaution, as the day of Morris's execution drew near.
