Show SEMI-ANNUAL REPORT OF RECORDER IS OUT Fall Election Cost of S9000 Must Be Taken From S23.623.65, Balance on Hand. Report of tho first six months of 1913, showing the cost of operating the city recorder's office and its branch departments, was completed yestorday. The total cost of operation in all the departments was $11,376.35, which, Subtracted ifroni the the total appropriation appro-priation of $35,000, leaves $23,623.65 on hand for the remaining six months. Of tho unexpended balance, however, $9000 will bo used in defraying tho expense iucidqnt to the primary and regular municipal olections next fall. Tn the recorder's office proper the cost of operation during tho first six months was $4655.97, leaving $15,74-1.03 on hand, including tho $9000 election fund. Tn the civil division of the city court tho cost for tho first half has been $3216.33, leaving $360S.67 on hand. Tn the criminal division the cost has been $3504.05, leaving $4270.95 on hand. During June tho civil division collected col-lected in fees $448.40, which is the largest amount ever collected in one month during the past three years. A total of 182 suits were filed. The June receipts of the criminal division were $S00.70. |
