According to the Information given out at the slate highway commission yesterday yester-day the 515,000 appropriated at the last meeting of the legislature, for the construction con-struction of a sUUe highway north of the Great Salt Lake, Is. now available. This route Is now used bv a great many transcontinental automobile tourists who come In io Utah from the cast, down Echo canyon. Weber canyon, Ogden and on west. It Is expected many coming into Salt Lake from the east over the .Midland trail will also use this route west. Dispatches were received In Salt 7-ike last night that the party of twentv-two Indiana automobile tourists had left Indianapolis In-dianapolis on the HSTn-mlle trip. The party Is making the trip In support of the proposed Lincoln transcontinental rock highway from New York to Los Angeles. The party expects to reach Los Angeles nn August 12.
