Show COURT DECLARES OFFICERS BLUNDERED In the absence of her attorney, Koso Smith, a working girl who was arrested two months ago charged with vagrancy, was ordered discharged and all record of her arrest stricken from the record of. the police court by Judge J. M. Bowman yesterday. Rose Smith was arrested by Patrolman A. E. Lund while on her way home from work, she being employed as cashier in a West Second South street coffen house. Utterly ignorant of court procedure, sho languished In the city Jail for several days, unable to furnish a bond of $300. Later, when It was shown that a mistake mis-take had been made by the police. Rhe wan released without court procedure and without any record being made of it In dismissing tho case Judge Bowman remarked that it was very evident a mistake mis-take had been made and that whatever reparation lay in tho striking of her name from the criminal Tecord should bo accorded tbe girl. |
