Show liSL REPORT OF COLORADOCOMPflWY Paper Issued by Assistant Manager and Treasurer Is Very Comprehensive. DIRECTORS RE-ELECTED Conditions of Property and Company Set Forth in Figures of Detail. Special to The Tribune. PROVO, Dec 9. Treasurer W- Lester Mangum and Assistant Manager E. F. BIroh of the Colorado Mining company have issued their annual report, which is now bolng mailed to stockholders. Tho paper sets forth In dotal! the condition of affairs at the property and in the company com-pany to date, and is comprehensively satisfactory sat-isfactory to those Interested. It states that by unanimous vote of 022,277 shares of stock the old .board of directors has boen re-elected, comprising tho following names: Jcbso Knight, J. William Knight. W. Lester Mangum, JR. E. Allen and Amanda M, Knight. Tho report In complete com-plete detail follows: During the fiscal year under discussion, no additional property has been acquired and tho hoisting' plant and general equipment equip-ment romains unchanged. Systematic Work. A systcmactlcal clean-up of the old stopea has boon undertaken during tho year, which has proved quite proiltable to your company. Shipments were entirely entire-ly Eusponded for a short period, as Borne of the ore was of aucn a grade aa to bring vory Ilttlo revenue. It was deemed advisable to hold this low-grado In the mine ponding tho erection of the Knlght-Chrlstenscn Knlght-Chrlstenscn mill, which promises to handle han-dle thl 8 product to better advantage than shipping to the smelters. This mill has now been completod and will bo operating operat-ing within tho next thirty days, and we anticipate this will open a market for a large tonnage of low-grade which wo are unable to handle under present conditions. condi-tions. Much Prospecting. During tho period when shipments -were suspended moro attention was given to prospecting, with the result that a few profitable oro shoots were encountorod. A crosscut thirty-one feet to the east of the 300 lovel at a point 27C feet north of No. 1 shaft encountered a small stope of gold-silvcr-lead quartz; and a drift extended ex-tended In the south end of the proporty at a point 1000 feet south of shaft No. 1 opened up anothor small bunch of ore. The shipments during tho year have come from these sources as well as from the clean-up of tho stopes. The exploration work consists chiefly of a 272-foot drift on tho 50O level to tho west of shaft No. 1; a soventy-one-foot drift running north from shaft No. 1; and a thirty-one-foot .ralso from this drift. The west drift was driven for the purposo of crosscuttlng a copper-stained fissure showing on tho 300 lovel, having a weBt dip. Tho fissure was cut, but no values were encountorod. The north drift was driven on a quartz lead, but doveloped nothing but barren quartz, tho same condition con-dition existing In tho raise. Important Extensions. The American surface tunnel in Utah Hollow, mentioned In last year'B report, was extended a distance of 444 feet, but nothing of vnluo was encountered. Tho surface outcrops were reached, but developed de-veloped nothing but barren fissures. The work of cleaning up the stopes Is still being prosecuted, as well as following follow-ing pmall stringers leading off from the old stopes, and we anticipate that this work will devolop other commercial ore bodlos that will prove profitable to your company. Deep development work Is bolnjg performed per-formed on both the north and south of us by neighboring properties, and should now ore bodies be discovered at depth our ample treasury reserve should enable us to do whatever work Is required without calling on tho stockholders for help. Considering the prospocts for marketing market-ing the low-grade ores to the now milling companv and tho mnnner In which tho old workings have responded to systematic development in tho past, wo have good reason to believe that tho ensuing year will be a. satisfactory one.
