More than half of the golfors who will bosm play In the national amateur golf championship cham-pionship tomorrow took part ln Preliminary Prelim-inary practice rounds on tho Garden Clt club's course today. The opening days play will bo confined to tho first half of the 3fi-holc qualifying round, and tlie sixty-four players who lead will continue at medal play for the other eighteen holes Tuesday morning. Then tho thlrO-two thlrO-two who qualify for tho championship will be paired for a match play rpum of eighteen holes. The second and tiuni rounds, a well or tho semi-final one . final contests, will be at thirty-six hole. I
