SOME SPECIAL FEATURES. Tho Wizard Carnival in this city on Tburada', Friday, and Saturday was m completo, so satisfactory, and ombraced so many fino things, that it is difficult for tho mind to grasp it all at once. The night parades wore the most spectacular, spec-tacular, but the "Parade of Progress" on Friday foronoon was great, and great crowds enjoyed it. It was participated in by representatives of the variouB industries, in-dustries, by U. S. troops from Fort Douglas, by the Commercial Club, by the Nativo Sons of Utah, by the United Commercial Travelers, and by many others, and it presented abundant picturesque pic-turesque features. Tho aviation flights made by Silas Ohristofforaon wore eagerly watched for daily, and Mr. Ohristofforaon performed per-formed them -with a businesslike expert-noss expert-noss thnt challenged tho admiration of all observers. The "GnlohJ wns the eceno of constant con-stant merriment, pranks, and fun. It was immensely enjoyed by vast crowds, and was ono of tho most popular features fea-tures of the throe days' carnival. All in all, the satisfaction which Salt Loiters took in this carnival this, year has sunk deep in the public mind, and there is no question of the future success suc-cess of this great, summer feature. It is timely, it. is enlivening, it is oxhil- j aratiug and satisfying. Tho city is ; fully aroused to the spirit of it. Its 3'early oncoming will be awaited with pleasant anticipations ovory summer, and with the thorough co-operation of the unitod citizenship, aud especially of tho business men of Salt Lake, whom it will so materially benefit, thore can never bo tho least question of tho suc-coss suc-coss of this summer carnival. And ovory year thore will bo opportunity, as was so finely illustrated this year, for public-spirited citizens to do fino public service in this connection, without with-out hope of roward other than in tho heartfelt appreciation of this excellent work by comprehending fellow-citizens who honor and admire tho great work they do.
