The feature event will, of cour?e. be the match raco between Fred Whlltier and Ray Peck, who has been cleaning the boards at the local track In the last few weeka. Peck's riding has really been phenomenal, as he Iirs won the last sixteen events In which ho has rld-dn rld-dn without as much as losing a heat. While ho has been beating Whlttler only by inches, that Is enough to win and really shows what wonderful riding ha has been doing. Whittlor still Insists lhat ho can beat Peck with a machine that has equally aa much speed as Peck's, and says he thinks he will be able- to get enough speed out of his mill tonight to put the last match of the season over to his credit Whether ho will or not remains to be seen, but in any event ,lt will be a battle from tape to tape, and It's dollars to doughnuts that they will be only inches apart, regardless re-gardless of who wins.
