Show BIDS RECEIVED ON STEEL FOR BRIDGES Some Companies Make Tenders, Which Are Being Tabulated by Engineer. En-gineer. Bids for the steel work on four bridges, to be constructed at a total cost of about $10,000, were opened yesterday yes-terday by the state road engineer. Seven steel companies submitted bids. These will be tabulated by the office engineer, H. C. Lewis, and tho contracts con-tracts awarded at the next regular meeting of the state road commission. The bids for the abuttments and construction con-struction of the bridges will be opened after the steel contract is let. Three of the bridges are sevenly-five-foot span structures and tho fourth is a sixty-two-foot span. All are to be steel truss work. The shortest "bridge will be built near Salina and will cost between $2500 and $3000. The other bridges will be built between Murray and Hcber City, near Charleston, and the Midland trail bridge ovor the Price river near the mouth of Horee creek. |
