PRESAGES LIGHT VOTE No Organized Effort Made by Candidates to Swell Voting List An unusually light registration was recorded throughout tho city yestcrclny. Out of from 5000 to S000 unregistered voters in the city only -US were registered reg-istered yesterday. Tn scyernl of the districts not a single voter was registered, regis-tered, practically no effort at all was made by any of the candidates to get out tli2 new vote and the registration yesloi-day yesloi-day rcprpaeuts the effort of tho individual indi-vidual voters without any organization encouragement. The light registration is believed to forecast a light voto at the primary election two weeks hence. The fact that no candidate thus far is backed by any organization makes it probable that there will be little or no organized effort to secure the registration registra-tion of any votors before the primary election. Opportunity Remains. I In order to vote at the primary every voter not already on the registration list must register next Tuesday. The primary election will be held oiie week from next Tuesday and the only registration regis-tration day intervening is next Tuesday. Tues-day. That the nominations made at the coming primary election may be representative of the will of the people peo-ple it is essential that every good citizen citi-zen register and vole at the primary election. The registration agents in districts (J and IS discovered yesterday that the voting lists hanging in front df the registration places had been stolen. The thefts were reported to the county coun-ty clerk and the sheriff. A fine of $1000 and imprisonment for six months is the maximum punishment for anyone any-one convicted of the theft of these records. Twenty-six Is Leader.
