Tho values are all in tho form of ohaloopy- , rite, some samples running aa high as A per cent copper, while the aver-i aver-i age assay value of tho face is not more than 2 per cont. We aro still nomo thirty or forty feet from tho footwall contract, where the better values should bo encountered, and the fact that we have encountered anv oro at all at this point makes it look very encouraging for good things ahead. Recent assay values on shipments from the Lndwig have been running from 7 per cent to 10 per cent. Most of this ore is being mined from tho 600 and 700 levels. Casting Copper: In tho Casting Copper, the main 100 and 200 levels have been carried forward in a general gen-eral southwesterly direction, until they have now reached a point about 100 feet from tilio shaft. This work has been done entirely in ore, with ore still continuing in Uhe breasts of the drifts. Asldo from this work, we havo run crosscuts to the south and the east and the north and west at a point eighty feet from the shaft on the 100 level. This work has also 'been done in high-grade shipping ore and shows a width at tho present 'writing of about forty-two feot, with no hanging wall in sight. The limestone lime-stone contact on tho footwall sldo lying to tho southeast was encountered encoun-tered during tho week, hut. tho oro limits have not been determined in any other direction. The ore body exposed hero docs. not outcrop on tho surface, but the entire surface area consists of an altered and siliceous limestone, and tho ore found underground under-ground occurs as a replacement of this limestone area. The surface cx-posuro cx-posuro of this particular limestone is very extensive and the possibilities for developing large bodies of oro as replacements in this limestone are practically unlimited.
