Show HOMAGE PAID TO SISHOPSCJIM A concert by the Junior choir, under tho direction of Miss Nora Gleason, wns .given last night In the hall of St. Mary's cathedral in honor of the silver Jubilee of the consecration of the Right Reverend 7.,aurencc Scnnlan, as bishop of the diocese dio-cese of Salt Lake. The programme comprised twenty-five numbers, consisting of stolos, duets, choruses nnd recitations. The children of the choir were well trained In their dances and songs and the entlr.e concert was given with a smoothness unusual In juvenile entertainments. The choir ' as assisted by Miss Brooks, Miss M?..;lor, Miss Brchleh. Miss Marguerite i-beke, Miss Ruth Kllleen and the St. Cecelia chorus. Members of the choir, who sanj solos, were Margaret Hunt, Bryl Gray, Nora Ahorn, Marlon Gallivan. Dolly Christen-sen, Christen-sen, Kva Hunt, Rorothy 'Hunt. Jane Gallivan, Galli-van, Fern Gray, Margaret Connors, Margaret Mar-garet Mahoney, Anna Aures, Thclma Cro-nin, Cro-nin, Kalhcrine Collins and Eugene Mahoney. Ma-honey. Addresses to the bishop were made by" Miss Bessie O'Brien and Miss Maragaret Taylor. James Sullivan recited re-cited "Mona's Waters." The programme was concluded with a chorus and tableau, "Nearer, My God, To Thee." by the members of the choir. In tho accompaniment of this number Miss Gleason was assisted by tho Mlssea Frances Fran-ces Douglas, Dorothy White and Genevieve Gene-vieve Gavin, as a violin trio. |
