Show BARDGETT TO REMAIN EAST FOR THIS SEASON Walter Bardgctt, who contemplated coming to Salt Lake for tho racing season sea-son this year, now writes that he has signed with Chapman and will ride ln the east. Bnrdgett says In his letter ' that he does not believe that Salt Lake will bo able to secure any of tho eastern rldors this year, as the game looks bright ln the east. Chapman will have two bicycle tracks under his management, and tho riders have great faith ln hlB success. Chapman may also build a track In Brooklyn, which would give him three tracks, and which would give the riders nix days of racing every week during the entire season. A late start Is being made here to secure se-cure riders for this season, but aa no manager has been appointed for the track as yet there Is no apparent effort made to sign up tho riders. J. E. Achorn believes that ho would make a better bicycle track manager than a rider, and Is trying to close a deal whereby he would manage tho Salt Palace Pal-ace track. Achorn knows tho game well. There Is some talk of building a motor cycle track. Harry Hongren has been approached to manage the motor saucer, should it bo built, and ho Is now considering consid-ering a proposition. |
