Show EXCELLENT WORK BV C0HGREGAT1PMALISTS Members of Church Meet in Their Annual Business Session. At the annual business meeting of t lie First Congregational church and society Thursday evening, the reports of all the affiliated organizations of the church showed that good work was done the past car. The Sunday school, which in the year was reorganized on the graded school plan, shows, even this early In the working work-ing of tho new system, great Improvement Improve-ment In the amount and the effectiveness of the work done. The pastor's report showed, among other things, that the church has been fortunate In losing only one member by death in the year. One hundred and twenty-one families, according ac-cording to a statement contained In his report, were charitably assisted in the year of 1900. The treasurer's report showed that the year's expenditures, Including In-cluding benevolences, amounted to 590-19.03. - The officers elected were: Trustees, L C. Miller. F. A. Timby and E, O. Howard. Members of this board are elected for two-year terms, part being elected each year. The remainder of the board, whose terms do not expire until another vcar, are C. K. Allen. Edward Merrill. J B. Evans and W. H. Brammel. The deacons dea-cons elected were C. K. Allen, Dr. Bar-nett Bar-nett and S. W. NIcbol6. the remainder of the deacons, who arc chosen under an arrangement similar to that governing tho choice of trustees, are L, E, Hall, A. O. Clark and A. .1. Gorhani. The other officers elected were: Church clerk. A. .1. Gorham; clerk of the board of trustees, trus-tees, W. A. Clcland; trustee of Mt. Olivet Oli-vet cemetery, Russell L. Tracy; church treasurer. F. A. Timby. After the conclusion of the business meeting n soclaf gathering was hold in the church parlors, where refreshments were served. |
