Kellogg Kel-logg on the one side and Judge Lovett, president of tho Union Pacific, and counsel coun-sel representing the allied llarrlman lines on tho other for the formal presentation of reasons why tho suit lo dissolvo tho morgor of tho railroads should not be pressed. The railroad Interests havo mado t clear that they feel confident. the suit cannot bo pushed to a successful conclusion conclu-sion and aro willing It should bo compromised, com-promised, , Mr. Wlckcrsham and Mr. Kellogg will prepare a memorandum for the president, on which tho future action of tho administration admin-istration will depend. , Just before leaving tonight lor New York, Judgo Lovett, when asked whether ho would have further conferences with the attorney general on the subject, said that would depend on many circumstances circum-stances that he could not discuss. |
