Show THE GLEDHILL CASE: WITNESSES ON SUBPOENA Special to The Tribune. PROVO. Oct. 20. An order has been made in the district court in the case of the Stale of Utah against lleber Glcdhiil for the following witnesses for the defense de-fense to be subpoenaed at the expense of the state: Earl Varney, Ray Ovard. Peter Logsden and Stephen Anderson, all residents of American Fork. Gledhill Is the man who. claiming to be a special policeman of American Fork city, assaulted as-saulted a thirteen-year-old girl 'ncre in Provo. and for the offense was convicted and sentenced to the state prison for a period of forty-live days. When his term of imprisonment expired he was met at the state prison door by Sheriff Judd of Utah county and arrested nn a charge of debauching a young girl in American Fork while he was acting as jailer. For this crime Gledhill Is lo be tried In the district court on October 2i. Judge Booth has rendered a decision In Ihe contested divorce, case of Eliza Jane Sheen vs. James R. Sheen, finding for the plaintiff, that she Is entitled to a decree of divorce on the ground of habitual intoxication, as alleged in the complaint. |
