Show HIGH SCHOOL TEAM NOWHING HARD Everything Now in Shape for Big Championship Game on Saturday. The local high school football squad put In the hardest afternoon of work since the opening of school Thursday, and there will surely be something doing when the big Ogdcn gamo Is played next Saturday afternoon. Coach Brus:'e ran his team up and down the Held, and soniu of the boys complained about being be-ing tired for the first time :h!s season. The locr.l team realizes that Ogdcn is oul to win. us tho boyr. practiced for Ihrce weeks before the season opened. The team Is heavier and faster than last year and Coach Brown stated that unless un-less the Salt Lake team tvas a whirlwind that It would bo easy pickings this time. Coach Brtisse stilted that the hard work will continue until the mlddlo of next week, when a few fancy plays would be instructed. The fans of the city are anxious for the givne. as the state chani-pinmihlp chani-pinmihlp Is at slake. The first of the woeJ Coach Brown of Ogdcn called the game, with the university rreshmcn team off. thinking that it would be a great rink lo run for the Salt Lake game, but Manager Midgley of the freshmen finally convinced Brown lo play tho game. Tho learns will piny Friday afternoon at Ogdcn. Og-dcn. In order for the team to take the Grand Junction trip on Thanksgiving, a game must be played In Salt Lake tho first of next month with Grand Junction, Junc-tion, and In order to do this the Granite game, scheduled for November 5, would have to be postponed. Coach Moss of Granite was in favor of the change, as the two teams will meet near the middle of the month. Class football has taken hold at tho high school, and the boys are anxious to mix things with any secondary teams of the city. The class scries will bo arranged ar-ranged as soon as the teams show form. Manager Smith of the junior team has arranged for a game with tho Collegiate Institute team on the high school campus cam-pus Friday nfternoon. The Juniors have lined up but twice and only know a few I signals, but still they are confident of winning. |
