George Chrlstenson was chairman chair-man of the meeting and Judge W. II. King was the principal speaker. -John K. BUrln of Spring City also made an address. Tf Mount . Pleasant Military band was present, and there was not standing room In the hall for all who wanted to koL in. Judge King spoke In a deprecating manner of the attack made on Judge Chrlstenson by the Herald-Republican and local papers. He referred . to the fact that the Republican machine of Utah was dominating the slate, saying that It had prevented legislation from being enacted by Ihe . last legislature against the liquor interests. Reference was made to the declarations of prominent promi-nent Republicans of Utah, proving that the federal bunch had made a bargain with the. liquor Interests and were thwarting the will of the people. |
