Show CLUB NOTES A meeting of the history section of the Ladies' Literary club was held at the club house Thursday niorninc at 10:1S o'clock, when Mrs. O. It. J3otnwell read an Interesting paper on "Literary Innovations Innova-tions of the Second Century." The Opal club was entertained at tho home of Mrs T. C. Hand Thursday, when an enjoyable afternoon was spent. Refreshments were served. Tlie decorations decora-tions were in pink carnations. The Scgo Lily Sewing club was delightfully de-lightfully entertained at the home of Mrs. Zach Derrick, Thursday. The afternoon was spent in a. social chat and sewing, after which a dainty luncheon was served in tlie dining room, where the decorations were in red and white carnations. The Pan Hellenic society met with Mrs. Arnold and Mrs Schauffelberger, at the homo of the latter. Thursday, where a delightfully informal afternoon was spent, Tho Misses Margaret King and Alice Smith entertained the members of the Undine club at an Orpheum party Thursday Thurs-day evening, followed by a 3tippcr at the home of onc of the girls. The Luncheon club will meet Friday with Mrs. M. A. Peters. The members will ho entertained at a 1 o'clock luncheon. The Browning section of tlie Ladles' Literary dub will meet 'Saturday with Mrs. W. C. Jennings. The Ladles' Auxiliary of the Brollipr-liood Brollipr-liood of Locomotive Engineers will give a card party Saturday evening at Eagles hall. Naomi Robekah lodge So. 1 will meet Saturday at Odd Fellows temple on Market Mar-ket street. Dr. Francos Potter, secretary of the National Woman's Suffrage association, is ill at her hotel, duo to overwork. The Wasatch Literary circle will meet next Tuesday. February in, with Mrs. J. E. Tho mooting will bo in charge of tho health education committee of Utah, with Mrs. R. C. flemniel as chairman. Dr. Kath-crlno Kath-crlno Eager and Miss Esther Allen will give talks on various phases of tlie work of t lio health education. All Interested in tills work are Invited to attend the meeting. There was n delightful valentine parly hold Wednesday at the homo of Mrs. Freeman Mornlncstar on East South Templo street. Tl was given by the Ladies' Aid society, section 0 of tho First Methodist church. During tho houra from 2 to 5. more than' 150 guests called. The dining room and halls were effectively effect-ively decorated in long strings of red hearts, while the parlors were decorated In a great number of valentines. Mrs. Mornlngstar was assisted In entertaining by the Mesdames Post, Rller. Repath. Boyle, Steams, Peaslie Strohauer and Burns Tho afternoon was spent, in music mu-sic and games, tho prizes being won by Mrs. Jenta Melton and Mrs. W. W. Rowe. The Ladles' Aid society of the First Methodist church will give a banquet on February 22, In honor of Doctor and Mrs. F. B. Short and Dr .7. H. Talbot. Tho Electa chapter O. E.
