Show Bear Fight Threatened oo Sooth Main Street A bear fight on Main street would certainly cer-tainly bo an unusual sight, but this came near occurring Thursday morning while ten whl to polar bears were being transferred trans-ferred from the depot to the Mission theater. the-ater. Upon three trucks wore live largo cages, In which ' the polars woro Incarcerated. In-carcerated. Tho drivers stopped Just around the corner of Third South street In order to got their hearings. It did not take long for a curious crowd to congregate, con-gregate, being attracted by the savage growls which issued from ono of the cages. In ono of the cages, somewhat apart from the others, were two bears which were continually pawing tho air. At times both bade fair to tear down the thin partition which separated thorn With low growls they walked up and down tho small space, snarling, biting and tearing at tho wire netting which kopt them apart. Expectant that fur was about to fly, the crowd grew to such proportions that It resembled a scone when a circus arrives In town.
