Tho Information that tho San Pedro railroad offlclnls have expressed their Intention In-tention of rebuilding their road over virtually vir-tually the same route as previously fallowed, fal-lowed, has naturally been received with tlmnkstrlvtn? by mlnlnc; operators interested inter-ested in tho Plochc district and tho tributary trib-utary country. It Is considered probable also that eventually branch lines of the road may he built to tnp other mining; sections In the neighborhood of Ploche. and at any rate the resumption of traffic will see an active revival of development and prospecting at the Ploche properties which have been seriously handicapped since the washout. Though no definite Information on the proposition has been given as 'yet. It is understood that tentative plans for the erection of a smelter cither at Plochc or Panaca havo boon completed and that arrangements for the financing of such a scheme are now well under wav In the cast.
