Tho Monroe Commercial Com-mercial club held an Important meeting last night and the annual election of officers offi-cers took place with the following result: President, O. P. "Washburn; vice president. presi-dent. II. F. Lisonboe, secretary, Jacob , Maglcby; treasurer, N. IT. Nlelson. These, with Hans Tuft. J. II. Jown and A. XV. Bohman, for tho board of governor, t Thn Commercial club has been particularly particu-larly active during the last year, and Just recently secured the farmers' Institute that wus held here. Th" members are now working towards securing a now t high school building. The Monroe Irrigation company hold a stockholders' meeting this week and heard the financial report, and chose officers of-ficers for tho coming iwo years. P. P. Washburn, Austin Yorgensen. Nyrum , Madsen, John Webb, Jr.. Carl Tuft, J. 15. Magloby and A. Y". Bohman will constitute consti-tute their board of directors, with P. P. "Washburn as president and Carl Tuft as HCcrctary. This company supplies water for over 6000 acres, and a project Is on foot to open up another J 000 acres lying a little southwest of Monroe. |
