Show VERY SUDDEN DEATH OF JENKIN A. EVANS Special lo Tho Tribune. PA ROWAN, June 10. Funeral services were held this afternoon over tho remains re-mains of Jenkln A. Evans who died very suddenly Monday morning. Ho had not been feeling well for a week, and Mon-day Mon-day morning he was feeling rather blue. Ills wife said to him: "Coma and see how nice the flowers look," and she helped him to the door. He said: "Yes. they look nice, but they are not long for me." He turned and sat down In the chair. Ills wife turned to get something for him and ho fell to the floor dead. Ho never moved or groaned. Mrs. Evans Ev-ans thought at tlrst lie had fainted, and called In tho neighbors, but he wns dead If he had lived until next September he would have been 7S years of age. He crossed the plains with the handcarts, and on mo to Parowan In tbo early days. Ho was one of tho Ilrst settlers at Pan-I Pan-I gultch, but had to leave there on account i qf tho Indians, so returned to Parowan. and had lived hero over since. A great number of the traveling men will regrot lo hear of his death, as he was qulio a favorite with thorn at tho time ho kept the Evans house here, somo years ago. Tintic Ore Shipments.
