Show CEDAR Mill IS OPEiif II Offi Raise From Fifth Level Is Bringing Great Body to View. General Manager S. S. Pond of tho Cedar Ce-dar Talisman company returned ! ridaj morning from an Inspection visit lo tho property in Beaver county. During the pnat week or two there baa been a tto-mcndouii tto-mcndouii change for tho better In tin., well-known property, and Mr. Pond is all the more enthusiastic ovor tho results of recent development. In mining on tho new oro body recently re-cently tapped on the 500-foot loycl. the raise bolng driven for oro development and air connection purposes, and at h point not over thirty-seven foot from tlic 500 level, the ore has mado off Into tho bedding planes, being now Iwonty-llyc feet across, with no end of ore yet in night on either aide. This oro body Ih from live to six feet In thickness, as far as can be told at present. Mr. Pond states that this bedding is like the one had at the 100 level, but the oro Is far richer. The winze from tho 500 level is contlnunlly showing up n greater width of ore, and It Is logical to expect an ore body below the 500 at any time the same an that above. "The oro body being followed by the raise would bo good enough for Practl-eallv Practl-eallv any one." said Mr. Pond to I he Tribune, "but to have It ninko Into these fine bed:. woll, thorn Isn't anything to It but one of the big mines of tho state-Here state-Here are some snmples nt tho ore, not selected rock, either, and you seo It Is full of galona and horn silver. I have not had tho rock assayed, but It will nm from $150 to $200 or bettor per ton- We broke down two chunks of this kind of oro whllo I was underground, and on breaking thorn up Into handling size wo got exactly ten skip loads. "We are shipping right along, but the company Is not going to deplete tho mine Just to send in rich shipments. Wo are mixing this extromely rich rock with oro of lower rrndc from other' portions of the properly so ns to make a good but not sensntlonnl shipping product. Vyo are mining for the profits to ho, made, not to create excitement. The mine certainly cer-tainly looks splendid, and It wilt make a rocord from now on." . , , While in the camp Mr. Pond earned thnt there wns a magnificent showing being be-ing mndo by the adjoining property, the Wild Bill, on the 300 and 400 levels.
