Show USES SPECIAL TRAIN IN RACE WITH DEATH ST. JOSEPH. Mo., June 10. Tn a desperate effort to savo tho life of Ralph Moore, a Grand Island brake-man, brake-man, who was seriously injured while attempting to board a train near Marysville, Kan., a special train made a record breaking run over a soft track from Marysville to St. Joseph, a distance dis-tance of 112 miles, in two hours and ton minutes. The track was cleared for the special. According to one of tho nttonding physicians, Moore's recovery is considered con-sidered doubtful, owing to internal injuries in-juries sustnincd. Moore's injuries consisted con-sisted of a broken leg, both hands' cut oft at the palms and a severe injury to the chest. Moore is 25 years old and lives in St. Joseph. |
