One of the large social affairs of the week was the old-fashioned ball at Social hall, Tuesday evening, when the Daughters of tho Pioneers entertained tho pioneers and descendants. Many old-fashioned costumes were worn and an old-fashioned picnic supper was enjoyed. en-joyed. Sago green was used "in tho decorations, with old-fashioned portrait paintings. Miss Naomi Hoffman entertained a uumber of her friends at. a daintily-appointed luncheon at her home Thursday Thurs-day afternoon. The rooms throughout were decorated in the Christmas idea. A beautifully decorated miniafuro tree formed tho centerpiece for the large round table. Dainty hand-painted place cards were used Silver candelabra candela-bra with red candles and shades were used at either end of tho table, crystal dishes of bonbons added to the effect, and the same color scheme was carried out. iu the menu.
