Great Northern-Burlington transcontinental passenger train No. 41 met in hend-on collision with a frolsht train botween 11 and 12 o'clock last night at Oxford, on the Great Northern railroad, killing the flrcmnn of the passenger, pas-senger, the mall clerk, nnd presumably ono of tho baggagemen, who Is reported missing and is supposed to be under the wreckage. Three men. said to bo miners at Rod Lodge, were the only passengers injured, in-jured, nccording to the only reports obtained ob-tained here. The passenger train was several hours behind its schedule time and Is said to have been running at a high rate of speed. Suddenly, and without an Instant's warning, In rounding a sharp, curve, the Hying pnssengcr train and an extra freight crashed together and the huge, locomotives were telescoped, while cars were- piled up In confusion.
