Show SUPPOSED HOTEL TIE IS CAUGHT Clarke Identified fis Burglar Who Operated Rather Heavily Heav-ily at Linden. Frank Clarko, a suspicious-appearing character, later Identified as tho man who Is supposed to have entered several rooms at tho new Linden hotel last Saturday night and stolen a number of suits of clothes, together with a suitcase, was picked up on Commercial street about 6 o'clock Tuesday evening by Patrolman N. P. Pierce and Is now in custody In tho city Jail. Clarke gave his ago as 20 years and told the police that ho Is a painter by trade. The suitcase stolen from the Linden hotel was also secured, together with sevornl suits of clothes. 15. P. Wobor, tho night clerk of the Linden, called at tho police station later In the evening and Identified Clarko as tho man wiiQin ho had seen hanging about the hotel during the evening before the robbery rob-bery occurred. Ho ulso Identified the sultcaso and clothes as those stolen from tho hotel. Clarke was Identified by several sev-eral other persons from the hotel as the man suspected of cammlttlng tho rob-berv. rob-berv. Clarke is charged with burglary.
