There is a movement on foot among those interested lo consolidate consoli-date the Blue Cliff Canal company and the Provo Reservoir company. The object ob-ject to be obtained is economic, in that it Is proposed to make one canal cany the water from the Provo river to the land on Provo bench. The plant of the Provo Reservoir comoany is now nearing completion and should the consolidation be perfected It will only be necessary to enlarge tho canal already built the Blue CHIT eomrnny and put Hie water on a large tract of valuable lrutt laud on Provo bench. The committee having In charge tho collections for the. payment of the monument monu-ment to the Indian "War Veterans, creeled creel-ed on the West square, have issued an appoal lo the descendants of tho pioneers pion-eers nnd others Interested for subscriptions subscrip-tions to be used In payment of the monument, monu-ment, which Is not yet paid for. M. V. Minor and Robert W. Miller, as co-partners, have begun suit in lhc( district eourl against Stephen BJemson and wife to collect SCO alleged to be due for merchandise sold and delivered.
